Today I will share my digital storytelling experience with you. Our task was to choose one of the presented digital storytelling topics and create it. Me and my friend Rezzan (I recommend you visit her blog as well) chose fictional story. I think it was more difficult than the other options, but we chose it anyway. After we finished it we said HALLELUJAH! We used a lot of apps. First, we wrote our story in Word, then created characters from the application called Pixton which is so useful, we turned the characters and scenes into videos from Canva. We tried sound apps to use different sounds. We have examined voice changer applications a lot. After that we upload it to YouTube etc. as you can see, we went through a very gruelling road. If only our time wasn’t limited, we could be more creative. I hope that the criticisms we make on different topics in our story will also attract your attention. If we consider this task in terms of use in language classes, it will improve students’ creativity and collaborative skills. In addition, learning the subjects they have difficulty will improve their comprehension speed through characters and stories. Moreover, videos prepared on topics such as PSA can provide students with awareness in different fields.
