FAREWELL

We came to the end of this semester. Sometimes we were angry, tired, sometimes we had fun, we couldn't stay in our seats. So, we came to the end of another semester. Now I will give you an explanation through my general impressions. First let's talk about the strengths and weaknesses of this course: Let me say that I am happy to take such a course when technology is so central to our lives. The course taught me how technology is a useful technique in language teaching, it can reduce the teacher's burden in certain subjects, it provides a variety of materials, it provides autonomous learning, it encourages collaborative learning, it can save time and many more. Also, the feedback sections were very useful, allowing us to do better work by improving the flaws we didn't realize. Talking about weaknesses, there doesn't seem to be any weaknesses.

Let me explain what I find difficult and what I find easy in the course. Since we had many assignments from other courses, the semester was very busy, of course, I should open a self-criticism parenthesis here: "If you leave the homework to the last day, of course it will be difficult Elif." But it was still a busy semester. The easy part is this: Since we worked in pairs, we completed the assignments quickly and of course, I think brainstorming with Rezzan about the assignments added a lot to us.

My favorite material was flipped classroom. Why? Because we had a lot of fun, the animations, sound recordings, creations were very interesting. We immersed ourselves in it. I think my least favorite was Corpus based material. Because we think it was less practical than the others. At least from the teacher's point of view, we prepared a kind of worksheet and we had to analyze well step by step, so it was theoretical for us, but of course it added a lot. My suggestion to further improve the course is that maybe instead of the midterm exam, another homework assignment can be made to ensure that the topics covered are comprehended.

What will I tell the students who will take this course next year? Hmm, there is a lot to say, but let me say this briefly: Friends, you can really get fed up sometimes. You may have small crises but remember that you will really learn a lot. At the end of the semester, at the end of the collective evaluation, I realized that I gained a lot. I hope you will experience this too. Somehow the semester ends, this is also passing, what has not passed :) I hope that when you look back, you will say that I am glad I took this course.

This course has really contributed a lot to me. For example, it has increased my motivation for research, increased the number of tool’s I use, I think I have become more specialized in the field of affordances and constraints, collaborative learning, critical thinking, creativity. Authenticity and many more. I am happy to take this course. Gökçe Hocam, thank you for everything, see you again with technology in the new semester :)
